Simon Faulkner is Reader in Art History at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. His research examines socio-political dimensions of visual culture, focusing on Israel/Palestine conflict representation and social media imagery analysis.
Faulkner co-founded the Visual Social Media Lab and has led ESRC-funded projects on protest imagery and digital media. His publications include Between States (with David Reeb) and studies of visual activism in occupied territories.
