Simon Bush is a Professor and Chair of the Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University. His research focuses on sustainable marine and aquatic food governance, including aquaculture, fisheries, and the interplay between sustainable food systems, energy, and biodiversity. He leads projects such as CircAqua (offshore aquaculture in the North Sea), BeWild (e-DNA biodiversity monitoring), and the Aquaculture Governance Indicators initiative with the Monterey Bay Aquarium. He is affiliated with the Wageningen Centre for Sustainability Governance and serves on the boards of the WIMEK Graduate School and the Global Aquaculture Alliance's Standards Oversight Committee.
