Simon Bronitt

Simon Bronitt is Honorary Professor at the University of Queensland's TC Beirne School of Law and currently serves as Head of School and Dean at Sydney Law School. His research examines criminal justice systems through comparative and human rights perspectives.

His publications address critical issues in:

• Counter-terrorism legislation and human rights tensions
• Policing methods and accountability frameworks
• Reform of sexual offence laws

Professor Bronitt has led major reviews including the Independent Review of Chapter 19A of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000 (Qld). His scholarship informs policy debates on corporate prosecution, covert policing, and national security.
