Simon Beeson

Simon Beeson is the Subject Lead for Environmental Design at The Glasgow School of Art's Highland Campus in Forres, a role he has held since May 2023. He is a registered architect since 1989, with a career spanning architectural practice, public art, and education. Beeson studied architecture at the University of Manchester and the University of Hull.

His professional work includes collaborations with renowned public artist Siah Armajani while teaching and researching at the University of Minnesota (1990–1995). In Scotland, he has executed multiple public art workshops and projects. His research and teaching focus on integrating environmental design principles with innovation, reflecting his multidisciplinary background in architecture and public art.

Beeson is actively involved in the MDes Design Innovation program and contributes to initiatives such as the Summer Show 2024. His expertise bridges design practice, sustainability, and community engagement through art and built environments.
