Silvia Steininger is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Fundamental Rights at the Hertie School. She holds a PhD from Goethe University Frankfurt, supervised by Professor Armin von Bogdandy, focusing on the backlash and resilience of regional human rights regimes in Europe and the Americas. She is also a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg.
- Her interdisciplinary research bridges international law, human rights, and economic law.
- She lectures on human rights, public international law, and international dispute settlement in Germany, France, and Denmark.
She has conducted research stays at institutions such as Masaryk University Brno, the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg, the European University Institute, and iCourts at the University of Copenhagen. She publishes and presents widely in English, German, and Spanish.
