Silvia Peracchi is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics and Social Research (IRES) of UCLouvain, with previous postdoctoral experience at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research. She obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Luxembourg in 2022. Her research focuses on migration economics, causal inference methods, and spatial data analysis.

- International drivers of asylum policies and processing times
- Ancestral diversity effects on economic outcomes
She actively contributes to the 'Road to Sustainable Development in Sub-Saharan Africa' project examining infrastructure impacts, and co-leads the CROHOUSINQ initiative studying housing market effects on cross-border workers. Research employs advanced econometric techniques including spatial modeling and natural language processing.
