Silvia Lejava Adamíková

Mgr. Art. Silvia Lejava Adamíková, ArtD, is an Adjunct Professor at the Voice Department of the Music and Dance Faculty at the Slovak University of Music and Dance (VŠMU) in Bratislava. She holds advanced qualifications including a doctoral degree under Doc. Hana Štolfová-Bandová (completed 2015). Her career spans vocal performance, pedagogy, and voice rehabilitation.

Education: Completed vocal studies at the Bratislava Conservatory (1997-2001) and advanced concert/opera training at VŠMU (2002-2006) under Prof. Vlasta Hudečková. Further trained in masterclasses with Petra Dvorský, Robert Belotti, and Zlatka Livorová (2006, 2008).

Performance highlights include principal roles in operas such as Hänsel und Gretel (Gretel), La Bohème (Musetta), L'elisir d'Amore (Adina), and contemporary premieres of works by composers like Louis Andriessen. Collaborated internationally with ensembles like Cantus, Slovak Chamber Choir, and Bamberger Symphoniker Chorus.

Pedagogical roles: Taught at the Private Conservatory in Nitra (2006–2010), State Conservatory in Bratislava (2010–present, currently leading the vocal department), and since 2012 as external lecturer at VŠMU. Specializes in voice physiology and vocal hygiene pedagogy.

Rehabilitation expertise: Since 2005, specializes in vocal re-education for professional voice users with pathological or post-surgical conditions. Collaborates with leading ENT specialists in Slovakia and abroad. Active participant in international phoniatric/logopedic symposia (Salzburg, Dresden, Marseille, Prague) since 2002, serving as organizing committee member for Umelecký hlas symposiums.
