Silvia Jonas

Dr. Silvia Jonas is a philosopher at the University of Bamberg's Department of Philosophy, holding an academic rank of Assistant Professor. She is also affiliated with the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (MCMP) as a Minerva Fellow (2017-2019) and will commence a Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowship in October 2019.

Her work extends to metaethics, aesthetics, and philosophy of religion, particularly examining ineffability across domains.

Recent publications include analyses of mathematical indispensability, moral disagreement, and theological implications of structuralist metaphysics. She explores aesthetic ineffability and epistemic challenges in scientific explanations. Upcoming work examines the relationship between mathematics and thought.
