Silvia Föhr holds the Chair of Human Resource Management at the University of Leipzig. She graduated in Economics from the University of Hanover, earned her doctorate from Freie Universität Berlin with research on "Economic Analysis of Organizations," and completed her habilitation in "Organization and Equilibrium" at the University of Würzburg. Since 1997, she has led the Chair of Human Resource Management at Leipzig, including a teaching/research stay at Georgetown University.
