Silvia Francescon is a Senior Foreign Policy Expert at ECCO and a Researcher at the NICHE Centre of the University of Venice Ca' Foscari. She specializes in international diplomacy, environmental policy, and the rights of nature. With over 30 years of experience since 1995, she has held roles including Director of the Rome office of the European Council on Foreign Relations, negotiator at the Ministry of the Environment, and coordinator of the UN Millennium Goals Campaign.
- Educations: Honours Law degree, Master's in International Environmental Law (SOAS, London), specialization in environmental law (Leiden University)
Her research focuses on deep ecology, multilateral environmental agreements, and gender equality in international security.
