Silvana Botti

Prof. Silvana Botti is a Full Professor for Theory of Excited States of Integrated Solid State Systems at Ruhr University Bochum's Faculty of Physics and Astronomy. An expert in first-principles simulations of electronic excitations, her research focuses on computational material modeling for energy applications. She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Pavia and previously served at CNRS institutions in France.

Her work bridges condensed matter physics, materials chemistry, and computer science, with current emphasis on functional interfaces and high-throughput engineering of materials for energy generation and storage.
