Signe Vikkelsø

Signe Vikkelsø is a Professor at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School, specializing in the intersection of science and technology studies, organization theory, and sociology of work. Her research examines how technologies transform work practices, the evolution of organization theory, and dilemmas in organizing science and innovation. She has led four major research projects and supervised 17 PhD students.

Research Focus: Using qualitative methods like organizational ethnography and digital methods, her work spans organizational hybridity, mission drift, isomorphic policy trends, and spatial dynamics in institutions. Recent publications address regulatory governance and structural opacity in financial scandals.

Leadership Roles: Seven years as Head of Department, Program Director, Academic Director, and committee leadership in the Swedish Research Council and Danish Cancer Society's Psychosocial Research Committee.

Projects: Involved in initiatives like the Lean-organization of patients project and the Industrial PhD Center for Offentlig Innovation.
