Signe Rix Berthelin is Associate Professor of Norwegian Didactics at NTNU, specializing in multilingual education and metaphor studies. She leads research on translanguaging pedagogy and develops Inuvialuktun language resources through collaborative documentation.

- Translanguaging in writing instruction
- Creative metaphor use in multilingual students
- Semantic-pragmatic analysis of Norwegian particles

She directs the PRANO project integrating practice-based research in teacher education.
