Signe Pedersen is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Sustainability and Planning within The Technical Faculty of IT and Design. She holds a Cand. Polyt. in Design & Innovation from the Technical University of Denmark (2009). Her research focuses on participatory design methodologies, sustainable healthcare systems, and collaborative innovation processes. She leads and participates in projects like DECODIT (digitally empowering citizens for the twin transition) and Designing for Sustainable Health Care, emphasizing co-creation with stakeholders. Her work includes developing negotiation games and playbooks to facilitate sustainable design and industrial symbiosis. Pedersen has contributed to over 29 publications and actively engages in workshops and conferences globally, such as the TU/e Aalborg Horizon Brainstorming Workshop (2022). She is affiliated with the Center for Design, Innovation and Sustainable Transitions, Danish Centre for Health Informatics, and other research units.
