Signe Luika

Signe Luika is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Communication Science at Riga Stradins University. Her research focuses on Sports Law, Good Governance, EU Law, and Latvian policy frameworks. She leads and contributes to projects such as Building the Legal Framework of European Sport (2024–2026) and Innovations, Methodologies, and Recommendations for the Sports Sector in Latvia (2023–2026). She supervises PhD students in areas like sports governance and youth football development.

Her work addresses sports regulation, legal evolution in Latvia, and European sports governance models. Collaborations span academic and institutional partners across Europe. Recent publications analyze bibliometric trends in sports law, football performance metrics, and Latvian sports policy transitions. She actively engages in conferences and serves on the European Observatory of Sport and Employment.
