Siegfried Wiessner is Professor of Law and Director of the LL.M./J.S.D. Program in Intercultural Human Rights at St. Thomas University College of Law. He earned his Dr. iur. from the University of Tübingen and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.
His scholarship focuses on indigenous rights, international law, and constitutional frameworks. Notable contributions include developing the legal argument for indigenous land/cultural rights recognized by the International Law Association.
Dr. Wiessner teaches U.S. Constitutional Law and International Law, mentors graduate students, and leads human rights moot court competitions. As editor of human rights publications, he advances intercultural legal discourse.
