Siegfried Glenzer

Siegfried Glenzer is Professor of Photon Science at Stanford and Director of the High-Energy-Density Division at SLAC. He conducts pioneering experiments in fusion energy, plasma physics, and quantum materials using high-power lasers and X-ray beams.

Research: Explores matter under extreme conditions, including inertial confinement fusion and astrophysical plasma simulations. His work at the Linac Coherent Light Source enables atomic-scale observations of dynamic processes.
