Siddhi Krishna

Siddhi Krishna is a UC President's Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, appointed in 2025. Her research focuses on low-dimensional and geometric topology, particularly the study of 3- and 4-dimensional manifolds through geometric structures like taut foliations, knots, and surfaces. She employs braids as a key tool in her work on 3- and 4-manifolds.

Her research interests include the topology of 3- and 4-manifolds, braid positivity, L-space knots, and concordance. Her recent publications explore the dynamics of surface diffeomorphisms and the classification of knots via geometric and algebraic methods. Notable collaborations include work with Hugh Morton, Kyle Hayden, and others.

Siddhi's work intersects with grants such as NSF DMS-1552285 and DMS-1902729, supporting her mentorship of undergraduate researchers. She has participated in workshops like the SLMath "Connections Workshop" (2026) and the Oberwolfach "Low-Dimensional Topology" workshop (2026).

Her advising contributions include supervising independent studies at Columbia University and organizing a virtual REU program on braids and surfaces in 2021. She is also a co-author on an equity-focused paper in the Notices of the AMS (2022).
