Shu KENG is a Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology, Zhejiang University, and a doctoral supervisor. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. His expertise spans organizational sociology, economic sociology, comparative political economy, and cross-Strait political economy. He has taught at National Chengchi University (Taiwan), Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and lectured at institutions such as the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and University of Tübingen.
His research focuses on Chinese local government behavior, political economy comparisons, and social science methodologies. He has published in journals like The China Quarterly, Sociological Studies, and CASS Journal of Political Science, authored/edited 10 books, and contributed over 30 articles to edited volumes and non-peer-reviewed journals.
