Shonna Riedlinger

Shonna Riedlinger, D.M.Sc., PAC, serves as Acting President of Ohio Dominican University (ODU), having previously held roles as Provost and Chair of the Division of Health Sciences. Since joining ODU in 2012 as Program Director and Assistant Professor for the Physician Assistant Studies Program, she spearheaded the launch of the Master of Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant Studies Program (January 2023) and established the Care Forward Center partnership with Central Ohio Primary Care.

Her academic credentials include:

• Doctor of Medical Science (D.M.Sc.) with concentration in Education from the University of Lynchburg
• Master of Medical Science (M.M.Sc.) in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University
• Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University

Dr. Riedlinger's professional expertise centers on Medical Education, Physician Assistant Studies, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Medicine, and Nutrition Science. Her work emphasizes innovative program development and community healthcare partnerships to advance clinical training and accessible care.

She has mentored Physician Assistant students as a clinical preceptor for over a decade, coordinating rotations for programs across Ohio and neighboring states.

Prior to academia, Dr. Riedlinger spent 17 years as a Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, serving as Clinical Supervisor for PAs/NPs and holding a Board position at Immediate Health Associates Inc. Her earlier career included Clinical Nutrition Management at Fairfield Medical Center and critical care nutrition support at Western Pennsylvania Hospital and St. Paul Medical Center.
