Shishir Kumar

Shishir Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. His research focuses on interdisciplinary device development for biological and chemical sensing, leveraging expertise in micro-nanofluidics, nanopores, 2D materials, and AI/ML.

• Making devices/platforms for high-throughput analysis of cells, biomolecules, and chemicals
• Projects include Microfluidics Large Scale Integration (funded by IITH) and Nanopore-based molecular filters (funded by Nanomission/DST)
• Labs equipped with inverted microscopes, Raman spectrometers, CVD furnaces, and cleanroom facilities
