Shirell Roeback

Shirell Roeback is a Lecturer and Director of the Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) Program at York College, CUNY. She holds an LCSW-R license and has over 20 years of experience in child welfare, mental health, and youth services administration. She previously served as Founding Director of Social Work Practicum Education for the MSW program and Director of Practicum Education for the BSSW program. Roeback is a PhD candidate in psychology at Northcentral University, with an MSW from Fordham University and a BA in Liberal Arts from Stony Brook University.

She chairs search committees for social work faculty and participates in institutional committees such as the Academic Assessment Committee. Her service includes roles like Faculty Marshall at Commencement and leadership in study abroad programs.
