About
Shinsei Ryu is Professor of Physics at Princeton University, specializing in theoretical condensed matter physics. He earned his BS and PhD from the University of Tokyo. His research explores quantum mechanical phenomena including coherence, entanglement, and topological properties of condensed matter systems. Previously held faculty positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Chicago.
Research examines quantum many-body systems with focus on:
- Topological phase transitions
- Entanglement entropy dynamics
- Non-equilibrium quantum systems
- Quantum field theory applications
