Shingairai Masango

Dr Shingairai Masango is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at Sheffield Hallam University and serves as the Yorkshire Accelerator Lead since 2015. Her work established a formal partnership between the university and the Yorkshire Accelerator, earning her the 2016 Impact Fellowship Award.

• Qualifications: PhD (2010) in International Business from University of Birmingham; MBA (2004) and BSc Chemical Engineering (1999)

Research focuses on high-technology firm internationalization, entrepreneurial learning, and network ties. She leads International Entrepreneurship modules across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including the Foundations of International Business.

Key achievements include a £4,000 HEIF Impact Fellowship to explore accelerator-program stakeholders and a £2,500 Pedagogy Innovation Grant for integrating crowdfund platforms into entrepreneurship education. She organized a Vice Chancellor-led accelerator breakfast event and cross-faculty workshops for 20 academic staff.
