Shimon Health

Prof. Dr. Shimon Health is a scholar at the intersection of traditional Jewish scholarship and modern biblical studies, affiliated with the Hebrew University in Jerusalem's Bible Department since 2002. He has served as Head of the Department (2013–2015) and contributed to bridging academic cultures across Israel, North America, and Europe.

• Education: PhD from Hebrew University (2000) on "The Feasts of Israel in the Pentateuch"; postdoctoral work at Harvard University.

His research focuses on integrating classical Jewish biblical interpretation with contemporary academic methodologies, particularly in Pentateuchal theory. He has led international collaborations addressing convergence and divergence in biblical scholarship.
