Dr. Shimon C. Anisfeld (known as Shimi) serves as a Senior Lecturer II and Research Scientist in Water Resources and Environmental Chemistry at Yale University. With over two decades at Yale, he focuses on coastal ecosystems and freshwater management, teaching courses in coastal ecology, water management, and environmental chemistry.
- Education: A.B. from Princeton University; Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology
His research explores salt marsh responses to sea-level rise, water quality challenges, and sustainable resource allocation. He authored the book Water Management: Prioritizing Justice and Sustainability and leads a research website on water issues.
