Dr. Shihong Lin is an Associate Professor and Chancellor Faculty Fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering. He serves as Director of Graduate Recruiting and Director of Graduate Studies for Environmental Engineering. His research focuses on advancing water separation processes for sustainability, including desalination, resource recovery, and brine management. Dr. Lin leads an interdisciplinary team addressing critical challenges in water treatment and energy efficiency, leveraging innovations in membrane and electrochemical technologies.
