Associate Professor Shih-Chun Lo (Lawrence) specializes in functional materials development for organic optoelectronics at the University of Queensland's School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences. His research encompasses organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), solar cells, photodetectors, sensors, superconductors and organic lasers.
Key achievements include pioneering light-emitting dendrimers as the third class of OLED materials alongside polymers and small molecules. Recent work focuses on low-threshold organic lasers, triplet exciton management and solution-processable devices. He holds over 70 patents globally.
