Shi Chen is a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar in Earth System Science at Stanford University, co-advised by Prof. Steven Davis and Ken Caldeira. She earned her PhD in Environmental Engineering and has held postdoctoral positions at Tsinghua University alongside visiting researcher roles at Harvard University and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria. She is confirmed as an incoming Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Her research is fundamentally dedicated to developing innovative strategies for navigating the complexities of achieving a sustainable future. This work spans critical domains including Sustainability, Climate Change mitigation, Energy Systems optimization, Environmental Engineering, and Earth System Science, with emphasis on interdisciplinary solutions for global ecological challenges.
