Shevaun D. Neupert

Dr. Shevaun D. Neupert is a Professor in NC State University's Department of Psychology, where she directs research on lifespan development and stress processes. Her work examines how daily stressors and coping strategies influence well-being across adulthood, with particular emphasis on cognitive and emotional aspects of aging.

She employs diary methodologies to study real-time stress reactivity, anticipatory coping, and subjective aging experiences. Current projects investigate pandemic impacts on social connections across age groups and cultural variations in aging perceptions.

Her laboratory maintains an active program mentoring doctoral students in developmental psychology and maintains collaborations with gerontology centers internationally.
