Sherwin Kawahakui Ranchez Sales

Sherwin Kawahakui Ranchez Sales is an Assistant Professor and Writing Center Director in the Department of English at California State University, Dominguez Hills, part of the College of Arts and Humanities. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Washington State University and leads initiatives at the intersection of writing pedagogy and racial equity.

His research investigates writing center theory, rhetoric and composition, and Asian American/Pacific Islander rhetorics, with consistent focus on antiracist methodologies. Dr. Sales' publications critically examine institutional complicity, BIPOC mentorship, and identity negotiation in academia, aiming to foreground underrepresented racial experiences.
