Sherry Jimenez

Dr. Sherry Jimenez is the Senior Associate Dean of Interprofessional Education (IPE), Simulation, and Accreditation at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) in Harrogate and Knoxville, Tennessee. She holds an academic rank of Associate Professor of Medical Education. Her roles include overseeing the multi-campus Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation (CIPES), strategic accreditation planning, and serving as an accreditation reviewer for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA). In 2022, LMU-DCOM achieved 10-year accreditation with Exceptional Outcome under her leadership.

Education: EdD in Education-Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University (Rochester, NY). Previous roles include founding Assistant Dean of Educational Development and Assistant Provost at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM). Professional memberships include the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), National Academies of Practice (NAP), and leadership positions as Board President of LMU Women of Service and Tennessee Interprofessional Practice and Education Consortium (TIPEC).

Certifications: Certified Healthcare Professional (CHCP), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Awards include the 2023 RHAT Exemplary Project Award and Fellowship in NAOME. Active in national/international conferences presenting work on medical education innovations.
