Professor Sherria Hoskins is the Provost at the University of Portsmouth, where she leads academic strategic planning and staff structures. Previously, she served as Head of Psychology, Executive Dean (Science and Health), and Medical School Delivery Group lead.
Her research focuses on learning behavior, particularly the impact of implicit theories of intelligence and self-efficacy on student resilience and attainment. She founded the Growing Learners group, addressing educational equity through evidence-based practice, and led OfS-funded projects on attainment gaps and learning gain in higher education.
