Shelly Lyons

Shelly Lyons, DBA, serves as the Degree Completion Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Organizational Management at Crandall University. Her academic background includes a BAOrgM from Crandall University, an MAdEd from St. Francis Xavier University, and a DBA from Royal Roads University. She has been recognized with the British Columbia Graduate Scholarship (2021) and the Mitacs Accelerate 4-year Research Award (2022).

Her research focuses on workplace spirituality, leadership development, and adult third culture kid (ATCK) identity formation. She explores how spiritual practices and digital media (e.g., blogs, podcasts) foster belonging among ATCKs, and how organizations can integrate spirituality into recruitment and leadership training. Key topics include ethical management, corporate social responsibility, and non-profit governance.

Lyons teaches courses such as Adult Development and Life Assessment, Managerial Ethics, and Non-Profit Issues and Management. Her recent publications underscore themes of spiritual self-leadership, workplace ethics, and global mobility impacts.
