Sheila Briggs

Sheila Briggs is an Associate Professor of Religion and Gender Studies at the University of Southern California's Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on feminist theology, German theological traditions, early Christianity, and intersections between gender and religious history.

• Education: B.A. and M.A. from Cambridge University

Current projects examine gender dynamics in Pauline writings and the reception of ancient history in modern popular culture, such as the TV series Xena Warrior Princess. She actively engages with interdisciplinary research at the intersection of religion, gender theory, and cultural studies.
