Shehla Arif

Dr. Shehla Arif is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering within the Samuel W. and Dolores E. Brenton School of Engineering at Mount Union. She holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, an M.S. from Bucknell University, and a B.E. from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.

Her technical research includes:

• Fracture mechanics in complex fluids and soft matter
• Fluid dynamics applications in medical devices
• Clean energy solution development

Recent scholarship focuses significantly on engineering education reform, addressing:
