About
Professor Sheena Josselyn is affiliated with the Hospital for Sick Children and a member of the Neurosciences & Mental Health program. Her research focuses on the neural basis of cognitive function and dysfunction, particularly in the fields of molecular and cellular neuroscience, learning and memory, transcription factors, and mouse models of cognitive disorders.
Research Interests:
- Investigating the molecular, cellular, and circuit processes underlying learning and memory using transgenic mice, gene deletion mutants, biochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral analysis.
- Examining transcription factors involved in long-term memory formation and their role in structural synaptic remodeling.
- Translating basic research findings into understanding human cognitive disorders to identify therapeutic targets.
