Dr. Shawnna Helf is a Professor of Literacy in the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences at Winthrop University. She also serves as Program Director for the M.Ed. in Literacy program, which she has led since joining Winthrop in 2009. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an M.A. in Elementary Education from West Virginia University.
