Shawn Bodden

Dr. Shawn Bodden is a Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh with a focus on social geography, civic innovation, and emergent forms of place-based activism. His work bridges community engagement and academic research through projects like Living with SAD and Rebuilding the Tool Library, collaborating with institutions such as the Edinburgh Tool Library, Transition Scotland, and the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network.

Research Interests include energy demand reduction, low-carbon public infrastructure, public sector and civil society data economies, and evolving concepts of 'the public good' in historical and cross-cultural contexts.
