Sharon Megdal

Sharon Megdal, Ph.D., is the Director of the University of Arizona's Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) and a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Her work bridges academic, practitioner, and civil society communities through research, education, and engagement in water policy and management, with a geographic scope ranging from local to international.

Research Focus:

• Analysis of water management, policy, and governance in water-scarce regions
• Groundwater recharge initiatives
• Transboundary aquifer assessment

• Lead editor of Shared Borders, Shared Waters: Israeli-Palestinian and Colorado River Basin Water Challenges
