Sharon Frazer is a Clinical Psychology Teaching Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), employed at 0.5WTE (part-time) since September 2023. She concurrently works part-time as a clinical psychologist in private practice. Her roles include teaching on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) program and supervising research projects. She previously worked in the NHS as a clinical psychologist from 2015, focusing on Intellectual Disability (ID) and paediatric psychology across Belfast and regional health trusts.
Qualifications include a DClinPsy from QUB (2015), a postgraduate diploma in Applied Psychology (Clinical Specialism), and an undergraduate degree from QUB. Her research interests center on psychological adjustment in children with physical health conditions/ID, medical trauma, and parenting experiences. She integrates Systemic Therapy, ACT, and CFT in clinical practice.
Teaching responsibilities include modules PSY9053-5 (Clinical Psychology 1-3) at QUB. Current activities include co-chairing the DClinPsy Participation Panel, leading the Planetary Health Group, and serving as a Green Co-Champion in the School of Psychology. She is also a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists.
