Sharon Dotger

Sharon Dotger is a Professor at Syracuse University's School of Education, specializing in Science Education. As Faculty Director for Teacher Education and Undergraduate Studies, she focuses on integrating lesson study into teacher preparation programs.

Her research investigates the relationship between science teaching and learning, particularly in elementary education. Through collaborative lesson study with elementary teachers, she explores student cognition in science and annually teaches open research lessons on campus. Her work spans three key areas:
