Sharan Watson

Sharan Watson is a Senior Lecturer in Post-registration Health Care at the University of Derby. Her research develops evidence-based interventions to improve end-of-life communication, notably creating the 'Real Talk' training program that enhances clinician confidence in palliative discussions.

Publications address practical challenges in hospice settings, including initiating quality-of-life conversations through non-clinical staff, and developing validated assessment tools for palliative care training. Her work bridges clinical practice gaps in liver disease management and bereavement support.
