Shannon Ormandy

Shannon Ormandy is a faculty member at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. With a PhD earned in 2018 and master's degree in 2011 from the same institution, she focuses on teaching techniques, conditioned motivating operations, punishment mechanisms, and respondent behavior. Her work bridges basic behavioral research with practical applications for developmental disabilities.

Her academic contributions include studies on fluency-based language learning (2012) and relational frame theory applications for music education in autistic children (2022). She has presented at numerous conferences including ABA International and Illinois Association for Behavior Analysis events since 2013.

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA #1-12-10233), she combines clinical expertise with academic leadership. Her research extends to animal behavior studies through the Respondent and Operant Animal Research (R.O.A.R) Lab established in 2022.
