Shane Thye

Shane Thye is Professor of Sociology at the University of South Carolina, specializing in experimental approaches to group processes and social psychology. His research examines fundamental mechanisms underlying social order and hierarchy.

Professor Thye's theoretical work develops frameworks for understanding how status differences emerge and influence power dynamics in groups. His experimental methods investigate neural and behavioral synchronization in collaborative settings.
