Shane Lynch

Shane Lynch is an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Washington and Lee University's College of Music. He leads the University Singers, Men’s Glee Club, and Cantatrici (women’s choir), while teaching conducting and vocal music methods for music education students.

He emphasizes student engagement, noting how W&L students often pursue independent research on topics mentioned casually in rehearsals.

Lynch directed the University Singers' 2016 Ireland tour commemorating the Easter Uprising, featuring works by Bach, Irish composer Michael McGlynn, and his own compositions inspired by Joseph Mary Plunkett's poetry.
