Shane Clark

Dr. Shane Clark serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, Baruch College, City University of New York. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy (West Point) from 2020 to 2023.

His educational background includes:

• Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky
• M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky
• B.A. in Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo

Dr. Clark's research spans Fixed Point Theory and Algebraic Topology, with recent expansions into machine learning applications in Sports Analytics, Nutrition Science, and Material Sciences through collaboration with the Army Research Lab. His teaching methodology emphasizes modern and inclusive techniques to foster healthy learning environments across courses like Algorithms/Computer Programming, Calculus, and Pre-Calculus.

He maintains active outreach commitments, having coordinated West Point's Big Brother Big Sister Program and participated in STEM diversity initiatives. Current service roles include membership on Baruch's CTL Advisory Committee and Cross College Curriculum on AI Committee.
