Shane Chern is a mathematician currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Mathematics at Penn State University under the guidance of Professor George E. Andrews. He will transition to Dalhousie University as a Killam Postdoctoral Fellow in Fall 2021.
- Research Interests: Number Theory, Combinatorics, Special Functions, and the mathematics of Srinivasa Ramanujan, with specific focus areas including partitions, permutations, circle/sieve methods, Diophantine equations, q-series, and theta/mock theta functions.
