Shane C. Brower is a Professor of Physics and Chairman of the Physics Department at Grove City College, serving since 1999. He holds a B.S. from Bucknell University and an M.S./Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at Youngstown State University (1996–1999) and Director of Grants/Instructor at Villa Julie College (1995–1996).
His research focuses on experimental physics, including short-time-scale molecular dynamics using high-power lasers, pressure/temperature studies of poled polymers, and hydrogen absorption in thin-film metal hydrides. He actively contributes to physics education through affiliations with the American Association of Physics Teachers and the Christian Scientific Society.
