Shana Lessing

Shana Lessing is an Instructor in the School of Humanities & Arts at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She holds degrees in Liberal Arts, Religious Studies, and Cultural Anthropology from Sarah Lawrence College, Columbia University, and the City University of New York Graduate Center.

Her research focuses on the intersections of biomedicine and popular culture, health and moral panic, global health, bioethics, and gender and sexuality. She also explores how rhetorics of health and illness shape societal discourses.
